Biography

Welcome to my page.

My name is Melfyn and I have been a licensed radio amateur since 1983.
My chief interests are digi modes of operation and CW with some phone operation as well. I am active on most of the HF bands from 40 meters to 10 meters, and on VHF/UHF from 6 meters to 70cms.

My principal mode of operation on HF is PSK31 and PSK63 with some PSK125, and RTTY and a small amount of phone operation.

One of my favorite types of operating is portable/mobile, and I am often out portable during the summer months.

The current setup at my home QTH is as follows:
TRX Kenwood TS590/TS480SAT, Yaesu FT897, Yaesu FT2900, Yaesu FT 7900/FT8900 Yaesu FT60, Wouxun KG-UVD1P, ICOM IC2100H and Philips FM1200. ATU's MFJ 948/945E and LDG RC-100 remote.
Antennas: HF multiband inverted v with apex at 7mtrs AGL. VHF/UHF Diamond X50 collinear for 2mtrs/70cms, 6 element home brew Yagi for 70cms.
