Biography
Thank you for visiting my QRZCQ page.
I was licenced in 1984 as G4UGB and was very active on the bands between 1984 and 1999 - mainly in the (then)new data modes like Amtor, Packet Radio and Pactor. In 1989 I moved to live in Scotland and became GM4UGB. Due to family and job commitments, I went QRT in 1999. In 2013 I retired (2 years early) and we moved back to England - and in early 2014 I decided I had the time to get involved in Amateur Radio again.
I hope to work you on the bands in the future. I am a member of the RSGB and if you need a QSL from me - I can QSL and confirm our contact via the bureau or via one of the many on-line logging Web sites. LoTW, E-QSL, QRZ.com and of course this wonderful Web site of QRZCQ which I have only recently discovered.
If you need a QSL card direct, then I only ask that you would send the appropriate return postage with your card - and I will send you a card back.
I am now mainly a CW user - but still active in the data modes like FT8, PSK, JT65 and RTTY - so maybe catch you on the data/CW ends of the bands soon.
