Biography

I first got interested in radio at school when my Chemistry teacher found I was far more interested in the large metal box in the corner than his subject!! I went on to get my class B in Feb 1980, G8VBY and then my Class A, G4KVI in November. Despite being licensed for over 40 years I still find the whole thing fascinating and still find new things to play with, my latest being SSTV from the ISS.

I am the keeper for GB3UB, and MB7UB.

I am a member of the RSGB, also WACRAL no 1659 and most recently RAOTA no 2999. I am also a member of Bath And North East Somerset Raynet

I work as a bus driver for First Mendip and spend my days driving around one of the most beautiful areas in the country. I am married to Fiona M3FED and we have Boots the cat. I am a Christian and worship at St Nicholas in Radstock. I am also a biker and currently ride a Honda NC750xNCT.

Worked DXCCs:

Equipment

I run an FT991 for HF and have an FT8900 and TM700 for VHF/UHF. I also pop up on DMR sometimes.
