Biography

Logging info for this station - I log to QRZ straight away or certainly no later than the end of a pass for satellite ops. Please check my QRZ logbook if we've just worked, if you're in there you'll be in my LOTW logbook at the end of the month guaranteed. I usually upload a file to LOTW, QRZCQ and EQSL last day of the month or first day of the next month, please consider entering our QSO onto QRZ.com even if you don't use it yourself, it's my primary log book and I'd be most grateful. Thank you.

QO100. Logging for this station, keep it simple, enter 2400.000Mhz for Tx/uplink frequency, enter 10489.000Mhz for Rx/downlink frequency. Enter the mode we worked, USB, FT4, FT8, SSTV or whatever our qso was in and select QO100 for satellite. This is what I'm entering into my logs, if you match it we'll get a confirmation.

LEO Satellites. For LEO Sats please use the centre frequencies of the transponder, ie 145.990/437.800 for ISS, 145.965/435.640 for RS44 etc. For LEO Sat FT4 use the designated FT4 calling frequency of the sat. Thanks.

Licenced since 1987 but left the hobby for a long time (I went fishing a lot instead!), I've been back on the bands since 2015 after a 25 year absence.
I mainly work data modes, mostly FT8 but I can pop up anywhere, RTTY, PSK, VARA HF, SSTV or any other mode on the hf bands that's data related. VarAC, Packet and SSTV are currently flavour of the month when I'm not on FT8.

Feel free to say hello if you hear me about.
73's Mark.

Worked DXCCs:

Equipment

Currently I'm running a very small station, I have an Icom IC7100 and a shortened end fed half wave mounted on a 12m spider pole at the bottom of the garden, the antenna is an 'inverted L' configuration.
For satellite ops I have an IC9700, M2 Leo Antennas and the Yaesu G5500/SAT Controller for guiding the antennas. Also active on QO100, 80cm Dish/LNB and an Ice Cone Feed 2.0 for transmissions, see above for QO100 logging info. Thanks.
73's Mark.

DX Code Of Conduct

dx code of conduct small logoI support the "DX Code Of Conduct" to help to work with each other and not each against the others on the bands.
