Hi from G0say,
My name is Chris and I am located in North West England, about 9 miles south of Manchester.
Previously licensed as G7ggo I have a keen interest in the higher bands, I am QRV from HF through to 23cms. I enjoy all the HF bands but prefer the W.A.R.C and 10m and up. I like to experiment with homebrew and aerials as well as converting Ex PMR or commercial gear to the Ham Bands. I enjoy 10m FM DX (not repeaters) as well as 6M and 4M in the sporadic E season.
I started converting PMR gear in the late 80s and still enjoy rooting around at Rallies (swap meets) junk shops or boot sales, Electronics came out of a need to repair my radio equipment and I still get a kick out of repairing gear, although my eyesight is not what it once was.
I use a variety of Radios but enjoy Old Yaesu Equipment, I have a lineup of Kenwood TS590S, TS780, FT101ZD Ext VFO ATU Speaker And Transverter with modules for 2m 70cms and 4m (converted 6m). Plus a spare Yaesu FT101 for HF, On 6m it's usually my Alico dx70th, and on 23cms I have a Yaesu FM set and SSB is covered by 2M SSB and MM 1296 Transverter.
Aerials are a variety of Wires and Beam antennas depending on my latest project.

Locator Square is IO83UJ MAX Power 100Watt but usually less.
