Biografia:

Empiezo de manera informal con unos 14 años de edad, recuerdo destripar un antiguo Walkie Talkie de plástico, ponerle una alimentación exterior , una antena exterior (aleatoria, por aquel entonces no tenía ni idea) montada en el tejado y escuchar a camioneros en 27185 Khz (El famoso canal 19).

En 1988 compro mi primer transceptor, viviendo en Segovia, compro una President Taylor que monto en mi coche, junto con una antena de 5/8 de onda, paso muchas tardes cerca del Castillo de los Zuloaga, en Pedraza, hablado con camioneros que pasaban por la A-VI, en casa pongo un viejo receptor a valvulas y un hilo largo y practico el DX de emisoras internacionales, ya estaba enganchado.

En 1992, vuelvo a Toledo, compro una President Grand con bandas laterales y una antena balconera (muy mala, seguia sin tener idea) , como la cosa no llegaba muy lejos, cambio la antena por una Sirtel de base de 5/8 de onda y le añado a la estación un amplificador lineal, un Zetagi BV 131 con una valvula (100 vatios de mentira, unicamente daba del orden 40 a 60 vatios y calentaba más que una estufa), pero la antena funciona francamente bien, hago algunos DXs y soy un habitual de los QSOs nocturnos en el canal 1 y el 37 de "medios".

En 1994 me presento para el EB y el EC, ya que gracias a un colega de Madrid (Radio Club Mensajera, creo recordar ), junto con un grupo de amigos, habituales del canal 1, recibimos clases de telegrafia y "voila" consigo los indicativos EB4HDC y EC4AMQ, compro una Kenwood TM251E para la banda de 2 metros, con una antena Tagra de 5/8 de onda, y doy de alta para el EC mi preciada President Lincoln, con la primera descubro el mundo de los repetidores, sus glorias y miserias, ya que tambien había discusiones, insultos y portadoras (siempre he aborrecido este tipo de "radio"), con la segunda, la Lincoln, descubro el autentico mundo del DX en la banda de 10 mts, empiezo en fonia ayudado por el BV131 y un micro de base el famoso Echo Master Plus, por aquel entonces aun aborrecia la telegrafia, estaba enfadado ya que me habian oblifgo a aprender el dichoso morse, pero oye, lo que son las cosas, un buen día me animo y salgo en CW, con la Lincoln en 10 mts, primero con el BV131 y la antena de 5/8 de CB, un monton de DXs, Sudamerica, los EE.UU, Canada y toda Europa, son muy faciles de hacer, desconecto incluso el BV 131, para a guardar polvo, da igual, mido y remido, con 5 vatios tengo el mundo a mis pies, me enamoro de la telegrafia.

En 1996, consigo el actual indicativo, EA4BNS, compro, con muchos esfuerzos y sacrificios mi preciada kenwood TS570D, dipolos, hilos largos y verticales, todas de construccion casera, compro tambien el acoplador MFJ 941E, una magnifico aparato que me ha reportado innumerables satisfacciones...

Tras largos años, he ido acumulando "chatarra", casi todo de segunda mano, practico mucho el DX, casi siempre en QRP o con un máximo de 10 vatios, pero siempre en mi amado modo de CW y asi han ido pasando los años...

Admiro a los colegas que salen con equipos de construcción casera, (yo para eso soy un negado) los QSOs 2XQRP son inolvidables y leo y reelo antiguas historias, viejos montajes y construcciones de viejas antenas de HF...

In 1996, I got the current callsign, EA4BNS, I bought, with many efforts and sacrifices, my precious Kenwood TS570D, dipoles, long and vertical wires, all homemade, I also bought the MFJ 941E coupler, a magnificent device that has brought me countless satisfactions. ...

After many years, I have been accumulating "scrap", almost all of it second-hand, I practice DX a lot, almost always in QRP or with a maximum of 10 watts, but always in my beloved CW mode and that's how the years have passed. ..

I admire colleagues who come out with home-built equipment, (I'm a no-no for that) 2XQRP QSOs are unforgettable and I read and retell old stories, old assemblies and constructions of old HF antennas...
