| Biography Thanks for looking me up. I'm just the average guy, always big and shiny, the loving husband with no time on his hands, who has to be quiet in the late evening due to thin walls - so digital modes are my thing. Born in 1963, studied computer science and communications engineering, worked as a lorry driver for 20 years, and being an operations manager for a waste water recycling company since 2013 - nothing special. Worked DXCCs: Equipment My station setup is quite simple and fits in the corner of a desk. Mainly on shortwave, on 160m I'm using an Icom IC-706MKIIG with 12m wire and a loading coil tightened to a vertical fishing rod, and an IC-7300 with an Endfed ca. 45m (147 ft.) long aprox. 11m (36ft) above ground for 10-80. For VHF/UHF an old Yaesu FT-857 works fine. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
