Biography

I acquired my first licence (licence class A - shortwave) back in 1992. I received the call DG5PZ. A couple of month later I successfully completed the Morse exam and received the licence class B together with my new call sign DK5WB.
My father (silent key) was also a radio amateur and had the call sign DB2PH. In addition, another family member, my son Daniel, owns the licence class E and the call sign DO5DM.
My main interest is DXing. However, I cannot clearly prefer CW over SBB or digital radio. Apart from that,I also occasionally assign points at specific contest events.

I am member of the local DARC Radio Club Limburgerhof (DOK K42).

Moreover, my other hobbies are hiking, mountain biking and running (personal best marathon: 3:01.28).Due to my health condition, I am not capable to perform these activities in an excessive way anymore. Furthermore, I enjoy taking picture with my Canon 60D and I am a proud owner of a telecope, the Celestron EdgeHD-SC 203/2032 CGEM 800 GoTo.
