Biography

I was first licensed as WN8IQN 1971. Three years later, I again passed the Novice and received WN8TZN. After time off for school, fishing and other kid "stuff", I passed the Novice, General and Advanced on August 11th of 1978 and received KB8DF. Finally, I upgraded in February of 1979. In April of 79, I received AJ8B.

My OM and Elmer is K8DWE. Still active "one" way, he copies CW every day at 90 years young. I enjoy Contesting and chasing DX in a manageable sort of way.

I am a member of the ARRL, NCDXF and the Southwest Ohio DX Association.

I still like chasing Paper QSLs but also use eQSL.cc

Equipment

My home rig is a Yaesu FT-950 with an Ameritron AL-811 when necessary. The antenna is a HyGain 6-BTV. I also have a OCF diopole up for 80.

My mobile rig is a Yaesu FT-857 with an ATAS-120 antenna.
