Greetings from the foothills of the Ozark Mountains!

While my FCC address is officially in Batesville, Arkansas, I’m actually located a few miles south of the White River in Arkansas’ newest city, Southside, in the one-and-only Independence county in the United States. I may say either one when I talk to you. 

I have been interested in radio since my Dad helped me assemble a crystal radio kit when I was about 8 years old.

7-7-2020 - Well, at 60 years old I now have my technician license (KI5JUS). My Wife Sheri got her tech ticket too. I am having a lot of fun and enjoy learning and meeting all the new friends in this hobby. I hope to get into HF soon. 

8-29-2020 - My Wife, Sheri(KI5JUT AB5SC), and I just passed our General exam. 

8-6-2020 - Got my Vanity Callsign (K5GOT)

01-2021 - Sheri(KI5JUT AB5SC), and I both passed our Amateur Extra exam. 

02-12-2021 - We are now Extra Class Accredited Volunteer Examiners. Amatuer Radio is a great hobby, get involved when you can!
