Biography

Thank you for visiting my page.  I currently  live in a Condo in Waikoloa, Hawaii with my wife.  we  cannot have any visible antennas so...all my antennas are portable and inside our small condo. Rig here is an Icom 7300. Usually you will find me on 20, 15 and 10 meters operating at 25 watts or less. I am not a super CW operator, however I do enjoy dinking around in CW contests.  I regularly experiment with different homebrew indoor antennas.  Living on the 2nd floor I have had some success with an end fed random wire stung around the condo. I also have a Alpha Mag Loop that is on a tripod  that is either inside or out on our lani.  The Big Island  is located over 2500 miles from anything and with minimal antennas I am usually operating  FT8, JS8Call, Winlink, and CW. I regularly upload my logs to  QRZ, LoTW and eQSL. 73, AA7LE.
