Biography

Hi my name is Máirtín (Martin),I gained my foundation Licence in November 2018 (MI7RPG) And just Passed the next Exam to gain the Intermediate Licence (Jan 2021) and hold the callsign 2I0IEU .. I've been involved in radio since the late 70's and SWL since the 80's and this is Yet another step on the journey.

I live in County Armagh One of the nine county's of Ulaidh (Ulster) close to Ard Mhacha (Armagh) City which is 140Km north west of the capital Baile Átha Cliath (Dublin) and about 40Km west of the provincial capital Béal Feirste (Belfast) and about 75km south from Doire (Derry) City

Equipment

I'm still working on the Station, At the moment i'm using a Kenwood TS850S and Kenwood 480 for HF and a Yeasu FT8800 for VHF and UHF ,My Antenna's are (at the moment) A OCF wire dipole Closely based on the Carolina Windom, and Sirio Vertical for 10/12m and a couple more bands ,a Vertical Dipole for Vhf/Uhf...And some others im working on ..My Main microphone Is the Heil PR 40 Studio Mic running through an EQ/Amp Box By UR6QW also a Kenwood MC60... All This is 'Subject to change' at any time of course HiHi..
