Biography

Intermediate licence holder, issued March 2021

Previous call sign was M7FKW

My QTH is Clitheroe, NW England (approx 30 miles north of Manchester)

Bands interested in : 40m, 20m, 17m, 15m, 12m, 10m & 6m
But you will mainly find me on 20m, 15m or 12m
Mode : SSB, or FT8 / FT4

Equipment

Equipment :

QTH : TX is 100w via my Yaesu FTdx10 Transceiver, M-70 condenser mic and SP-30 Speaker, supported by the excellent CatMeter display
Antenna is a 7 band COBWEB at 9m - nothing bigger allowed, due to antenna restrictions typical to many hams in UK Towns & Cities

When mobile : Normally parked on a local hill 600ft+ (200m) above sea level, with 360' view of the horizon. Radio is usually my Yaesu FT710, with either my MRQ213 17.5ft (5.33m) telescopic whip, or 9.35ft (2.85m) military whip and VK4KC's Mad Dog 80 Coil, both options tuned for the band in use (depends how windy conditions are..). I also own a Xiegu G90. Power is from an Ultramax 22ah LiFePO4
