Biography
I am very new to Ham radio got my licence 2/12/15. Formerly M6RLR
I operate remote 90% of the time, the software I use are for the desktop "Anydesk" connected to my laptop in the shack via the internet, to operate the radio I use "win4yeasu" and for the audio a little piece of software called "IP sound" the microphone is a Blue Yeti USB. If you need advice on this setup drop me an email. It works very well for me.
Been interested in radio since the CB craze in the late 70s but I was a bit too young to take my B licence as it was then.
In 1979 my sister bought a GEC 40 channel AM radio, for the first year we had great fun talking to the locals on a 18 foot dipole. Then one day she traded the 40 channel for a Ham international multimode 2! well I was hooked hearing all these foreign voices on SSB after a year or two I inherited the radio and upgraded the antenna to an old hygain 3 element yagi and moved to a remote farm. By 1990 I built myself a 6 element yagi (36 foot boom) and worked the world on 11 meters.
We moved house and by 2000 had to take down the antenna and forgot about radio for over 15 years. I was doing a bit of research on radios in September 2015 and came across hamsphere and sparked the interest up again,
So here I am finally licenced I passed my intermediate exam on 17th May 16 now I am 2E0RLR
Working conditions are Yeasu FTDX 3000, 50Watts, Yeasu MD-100 desktop mike, OB1-40 Optibeam rotary dipole

The new antenna is the Ciro Mazzoni midi loop thers a photo below super antenna on 80M is quite amazing!
