Biography

I was born in 1931/07/24 in South Africa of Chinese decent. First licence as an Amateur in 1971. My profession is a Radio technician and retired in 1996.Presently am enjoying Amateur Radio to it's fullest and could not imagine what life would be like without Amateur Radio especially at this stage of my life.
In my 40 odd years of Amateur operation, I have never owned or used a linear Amplifier for all my contacts.

In my shack, I have Kenwood TS50, Yaesu FT 897, Icom IC 820H, Yaesu FT8900 and Motorola DM3600 DMR-Mototubro.
Antennae:- Hy-gain TH6DXX Yagi up a 40ft. telescopic tilt-over tower
Home-brewed six band Inverted V
Home-brewed six elements 50Mhz. Yagi
Hy-gain 144Mhz. eleven element Yagi
Home brewed 15 element UHF Yagi.
