Biography

First License in November 1976 as a NOVICE. Upgraded to Technician in 1977 when I passed the 5 WPM code test.First rig was HW 101 that I rebuilt. Enjoyed CW around the world. Worked 2 meters extensively and enjoyed first auto-patch technology. Lost interest with the growth of cell phones technology and systems.

New license rules by FCC reclassified me to Technician PLUS.

Getting close to retirement and would like to explore amatuer radio again. Received my General ticket in November 2014. Purchased current rig and really enjoying learning about radio all over again.

ICOM 751 with AT150 Tuner feeding a Carolina Windom Antenna currently 30 ft above ground. Station has generator support.
