Biography

Retired from the State of Michigan, Department of Transportation, Highway Construction after 38 years.
Moved to Florida in 2003.
Now that we are retired we travel a lot. We use a 2004 Allegro 35 ft motor home and do most of my hamming from that.
I mostly work PSK a little RTTY and very little cw & SSB do to a sever Hearing loss.
I use VHF/UHF for ARES and keeping in touch with locals when traveling.

2 Repeaters One GE MVP on 440.525 PL 167.9 and One HB 224.200 PL 103.5 made from Midland & Hamtronic parts. Also have a Kewood G707 Remote Base and a Weather radio. All Controlled by an Arcom RC-210 Controller.

Ant for the above VHF & UHF are mounter on PVC pipes between 15 and 19 feet high.
Use 1 Triband 144-22-440 1 dual Band 144-440. 2 Home Brew Dual Band J poles for 144-440.
