Biography

I am retired and live in the tiny town of Alford SA.
My shack is in the house. I have a hearing problem these days, and don't often get on the air because of this disability.
I like to repair equipment, and am fortunate to have a good selection of quality test equipment. (HP, Tektronix,Rigol)
I am currently building a Magnetic loop covering 5 bands 20M - 10M. I am in the process of controlling it by poling the frequency of my transceiver and automatically adjusting the capacitor to resonate at the current tuned frequency. I.E. - an automatically tuned Mag. Loop antenna.

Equipment

My main antenna is a 5 element 3 band Yagi at 17 metres, on an ATN Aluminium mast with a winch up carriage. I have several transceivers: A Flex 5000A, a Kenwood TS590SG, A Collins S line station, and an Icom IC-736.
