Biography

59 year old ex professional rugby league player, always had a passion for radio first involved in the mid 70's in Citizen Band radio but due to travelling with Rugby League all over the United Kingdom and Australia could not really enjoy the hobby. Had another brief entry into 11 meters in the early 90's but once again family and other commitments changed my focus, decided to sit the entry level amateur radio licence exam here in Australia called the Foundation licence in March 2013. Am once again enjoying this fantastic hobby of radio will upgrade to the higher level of licence known as standard eventually. I also enjoy camping and fishing and travel and also enjoy chasing DX am working hard to get my 100 countries award only have 72 at the moment.
