Biography

First licensed as Tecnician N7AKU in 1978. Upgraded to General, then Advanced by 1979. I have had two station locations in Las Vegas over the years but only 3.5 miles apart. I have been at my current location (home) for 20 years.

James (Jim) Brockett, owner of Rocky Top Inc, graduated in 1969 with an associates degree in electronics. Several factory certifications were earned over the years with warranty service status for over 30 companies. In 1979 he achived an Advance license in ham radio. From 1990 through 2009 he also worked as an engineer in the hotel industry to support all aspects of electronic repairs as well as operations of his company. He currently operates a home town favorite electronic repair center of 40 years, Rocky Top Electronics.
