Biography

I've ben licensed since the early 1980s when a student at Michingan State University.

Was active in HF, with the local emergency radio communications team and packet radio. Took a break from the hobby starting in the late 1990's then got bug again about 5 of years ago and have since re-engaged in the hobby. We are active in the local radio club (Vienna Wireless Society, Vienna, VA) and have brought amateur radio to our local Boy Scout Troop where we now have 12 licensed scouts and 6 licensed Scouters in our program.

HF Antennas: Vertical 40 meter loop fed with ladder line connected to SGC-237 Smartuner, also just installed a Radio Works Carolina Windom.

VHF-UHF: Icom ID-5100A

VHF-UHF Antenna: roof-mounted diamond VHF/UHF vertical
