Biography

I use an FT-100 with the ATAS 120 antenna from the mobile and an FT-840 and a IC_746 from the shack. My favorite bands are 6 and 10 meters SSB but you might hear me on FM also. My antennas at the house are 3 element yagis on both 10 & 6M up about 20 feet. A parallel dipole 40,20,10M up 30 feet. I enjoy working contests inculding the digital modes. I am a SATERN member as well as a Baptist Disaster Relief volunteer. Look for me on 20, 40 and 10 meter PSK-31, olivia, FreeDV and CW. I am also available on winlink. I encourage everyone to get involved with your local ARES or other amateur volunteer groups. Jump in on the some of the contests if you get a chance too. I am a member of the Alabama Contest Group. I QSL all paper, EQSL and LOTW. No SASE needed. I earned WAS mixed just recently. (Feb. 2013) I am participating in the ARRL Centennial QSO Party.
