Biography

Located on the southwestern edge of the White Mountains National Forest, Northern Grafton County, New Hampshire. Overlooking the Connecticut River Valley (alt. 1394ft/425M). I generally listen, when I do transmit I enjoy working DX, Lighthouses, Marine/Air mobiles, P.O.T.A., and Special Event Stations. I have also been known to occasionally check into a Net. There has been an increase in activity on 29.6 FM , so I monitor this frequency whenever I'm in the shack. Try giving a call, you never know who's listening. Otherwise I tune around the WARCs, and 10M sideband has always been my favorite. I also enjoy tuning Shortwave, Broadcast Bands, and monitor local scanner frequencies.

Born 1955, Licensed in 1996, Retired 2020. After graduating in 1973, and hitchhiking around the states, I served four years (1976-1980) in the Air Force: two years as a Crew Chief on F-4 fighters in Germany, and two years as a Row Chief on T-37's at Reese AFB Texas. In the early 80's I attended the Academy of Aeronautics in Flushing, N.Y., while driving a cab on Long Island and New York City proper. I've worked in Delicatessens, was a Hardware Salesman, tried my hand at running a restaurant and, after relocating to the White Mountains, was even a "snowmaker "at a local ski resort. I finally settled in and worked fourteen years for the U.S. Postal System before leaving to study as a Medical Assistant at White Mountains Community College in Berlin, N.H. After Graduation I worked with Adults with Developmental Disabilities for nine years until retirement.

Widowed in 2003, I share my home with my adult son and his wife, my daughter, and two felines "Moxie" and "Bubsy". Besides radio, I enjoy listening and playing music of various genres. I have several string instruments, keyboards, and even an accordion! I also enjoy working online word games and puzzles, and play some of the classic Super Nes games.

Worked DXCCs:

dx code of conduct small logoI support the "DX Code Of Conduct" to help to work with each other and not each against the others on the bands.
