Biography

Hi Everyone,

Mainly working HF bands (80m/40m/20m/17m/10m).

Antennas are currently 23m end fed from HyEndFed as well as some homebuilt end feds. Also operating an OCFD dipole for 40m-6m and ZS6BKW. Would love a Hexbeam but think my neighbours would not agree!

Considering a leap into 6m operation..

Radios: IC-7300, IC-705 for QRP. Recently did some early morning beach operations with the 705 and an MFJ 1979. Lots of VK coming in and hoping for some confirmed QSO's on QRZ.com!

Not a huge constructor but have built a few chokes and end fed transformers and repaired a couple of bits here and there.

When I'm not operating I run a WSPR receiver (Raspberry Pi 3B with a RTL-SDR V3 USB SDR) listening over frequencies from 80m->10m during each 24 hour period. I also run a WSPR tx operating between 80m-10m (Zachtek Desktop TX with 230mw output). Always enjoy seeing where the signals are ending up.

Looking forward to many more QSO's.

My main log is maintained on QRZ.com but I do occasional uploads to this site to keep them in sync.
