I live in the town of Cannock which is around 15.5miles north of the city of Birmingham.

I passed my UK Foundation Licence ( M6DFP ) on 25th March 2010

I then passed my UK Intermediate Licence ( 2E0DFP ) on 19th July 2010

I then got my full UK Licence ( M0GYO ) on 06th April 2011



I have my own simplex link : MB7IDP 145.3375MHz with 103.5Hz CTCSS and NARROW deviation.

I started with radio when I was young and watching my late father doing DX calls many years ago. Then in the 70's got CB Radio which I still have and use today.

I currently use a Yaesu FT-7800E mobile and a Yaesu FT-60E portable and a Kenwood TS-590s while at home. I also use my cellphone (Samsung Galaxy A5) on Echolink which I think is a great move forward for radio. When I am away at my holiday caravan in Wales I use a Yaesu FT-857D with 10M vertical wire within a fishing pole.

When in Wales at my Holiday Caravan my callsign is MW0GYO/A
