Biography

First licensed in 1958. Last QTH Sitka, Alaska. Retired satellite communications tech at AT&T Alascom. Retired volunteer 1st Assistant fire chief, Sitka Alaska. Search and Rescue/mountain rescue Sitka, Alaska. PM Mt. Verstovia lodge #291 F&AM Sitka, Alaska. Currently own and operate The Photo Shop Studio of Sitka Alaska. Reproduction and restoration of antique photographs. Father-in-law KL7BUS, mom KL7BYA (silent key) Grand father-in-law 6RD early days in California. Started radio with a home brew crystal set at 7 years of age. Been hooked ever since. My KL7 call sign helps break through the pileups but, then disappoints when they find I am in NY state. HI HI

Equipment

Kenwood TS-450. 100w. Butternut HF6V vertical at 10 meters AGL. 8 radials on 40-10m and 4 on 75. 2m and 70cm operation on SSB, CW and FM with Kenwood TS-711A and Kenwood TS-811A plus Anytone dual band. Several HT's round out the shack.
