Biography

Hi there, my name is Austin. I passed my Technician test on 15 March 2014, and became licensed on 20 March 2014. I am a participant in Skywarn and ARES.

My first radio was a Baofeng UV-82L, which I still use regularly. My mobile is an Icom IC-2800. My base station uses a Kenwood TK-762H for 2 meters.

Outside amateur radio, one of my other hobbies is aviation. I have over 1000 hours of "flight time" on Microsoft Flight Simulator X, and flight school is hopefully in my near future.

I also love to make music. I play the guitar, ukulele, bass guitar, and mandolin.
