Biography
Profession in Broadcast Engineering for 33 years.
Received my first novice license back in 1979 then jumped to Technician in 1980. Took and received my Advanced from the San Diego, CA FCC feild office in 1982 with my good friend Criag KD7IA, which is now N7LB because he passed his Extra before me.
Ever since went and explored the world working at such places like KUPD Phx, AZ; KLGT-FM Breckenridge, CO; KZKZ-AM, KCLS-AM then KNAZ-TV Flagstaff. Then KPNX-TV Phx, AZ, Was working for 4 years in Flagstaff at Northern Arizona University working in Extended Campuses Television Services Department as Broadcast Engineer Senior. Now started up my own business: Technical Broadcasting Services. I service KPNX, KSED-KWMX-KFLX-KBTK, KVNA-KQST all in Flagstaff, and KXAZ-KPGE in Page, AZ.
Own two repeaters up on Mormon Mt. - 18 miles south-southeast of Flagstaff that I service frequently. 145.270 KD7IC/R and 449.600 162.2 KD7IC/R. These are open to whoever wants to use them.
Equipment
145.270 Repeater is a Yeasu VRX-5000 with 6 wacom duplexers.
449.600 Repeater is a GE II master with 4 wacom duplexers.
At home I am still operating an Heathkit HW-101 with a KF4BWG Horsefense antenna on 75 phone
