Biography

This is the City of Redmond, WA Amateur Radio Emergency Services Team general callsign and account.

The Redmond (ARES) Team provides emergency communications services for the City of Redmond, Washington, as requested, for public events, drills and emergencies. If normal communications are disrupted, team members can relay messages for fire, police, and other public service agencies within the city. Redmond ARES can also provide information and communications assistance to other city, county, state, and national emergency service organizations.

Redmond ARES members are official City of Redmond volunteers, and we are committed to serving our client, the City of Redmond. For more information about the ARES served agency relationship—such as that between Redmond ARES and the City of Redmond—see the ARRL Emergency Communication Handbook, Chapter 4.
