I was assigned to the 2049th Comm Squadron at a transmitter site in Davis, Ca, then went to the 2875 GEEIA squadron inTachikowa, Japan. In 1967, after the Air Force I went to work for GTE (General Telephone) as a switching system technician. I advanced to a switching system engineer position in 1980, then I worked as a unix system adminstrator and database manager, I was retired in 1995. After retirement I tested for technician and general class license's on the same day, I provided proof of passing my 5 wpm code test by proof of entry in an old call book and was given call KE7AQH in April 2004, advanced to Extra class in May 2004. I am a member of the Columbia River DX Club. Work mostly A3 on 20, 40, 80 and 75. Have a 2 meter radio in my truck for emergency, if needed.
