Biography

Hello and thanks for reading my biography.

As you can see from the general info, I have been licensed since 1969 at age 13. I have enjoyed growing up with this wonderful hobby; witnessing changes in technology and making new friends all over the world.

Other hobbies include tending to my two classic cars: 1960 Nash Metropolitan (ground-up restoration) and 1975 Chevrolet Cosworth Vega. Still looking for a decent 1958 Chev Bel Air or 1974 Dodge Daytona (yeah, right).

I look forward to seeing you soon on the air.

Equipment

Station rundown at this writing is ICOM 746 PRO at 100W to a Bencher Skyhawk 10-element yagi up 40 ft. I also have a HyGain Vertical on the ground. My plans are to string a 40/80 meter longwire in the Spring of 2012.Also will remodel my radio room with new desk and console and bring back the rest of my classic equipment including a National NCL2000 linear and Swan 500DX transceiver. I miss the warm glow of tubes - not to mention the self-heating in the radio room.
