Biography

I rejoined the ranks after a 35+ year hiatus. Licensed at age 15 as KN5YRT in 1959, then as K5YRT through 1972, life's challenges left little time for the hobby. Steve "Doc" Bryan, K5SLW, my high school buddy and my "Best Man" at our wedding, first interested and tutored me. In late 2008, he gave me a Ten-Tec Pegasus and a slug of other stufft hat he was no longer using, knowing that it would peak my interest. He was right! Thank you, Doc!

It's great to be back. I have hearing difficulty, so I use digital modes.

My DM780 digi software automatically confirms all QSOs to eQSL.cc. I will also respond 100% to direct QSLs with no SASE required. I upload to LoTW every now and then. :)
