Biography

** Due to online fraud using callsigns trawled from around the 'net, I have no equipment for sale or the need to buy anything....**

Now located in IO86ba....

First licensed late 1980's, returned to SWL'ing, bcame active again in late 2008. Active from the home QTH on HF and VHF, most days I'm out on my bike, 2m handheld in my bag....check APRS....

Active on 2m FM and SSB plus 4m FM whilst doing any SOTA or other hilltop work, only one hill activated in 2021.
On HF been active on FT8, FT4, JT65, occasional WSPR and PSK modes.

If you see me on either JT65/FT8/FT4, give me a call on JTAlert/Log4OM text/chat for a sked or a chat!

WAS now achieved.

My WAB(Worked All Britain) for IO86ba is NS 88 FAL and for 'old' IO75pw was NS 37 INV.....

HF antenna is endfeddue to size and other restrictions.

My photo is of me at the summit of Goat Fell SOTA after activating the hill.

Other interests are cycling, hillwalking and benchmarking.

My QSL preferences are electronic and I prefer eQSL, LoTW, ClubLog OQRS and QRZ.com but paper cards welcome through the Bureau. I will exchange cards by direct mail, if you need my card, please email me first! or via ClubLog OQRS.

Presently a RSGB member. If you have sent me a card since 2009 and have had no return, please contact me by my email address and I will return a card ASAP. I did note on my pre-2015 bio, I had no bureau facility.

Other clubs are GQRP, SOC, WAB.
Member of Falkirk and District Amateur Radio Society.

DX Code Of Conduct

dx code of conduct small logoI support the "DX Code Of Conduct" to help to work with each other and not each against the others on the bands.
