Biography

Licensed in August 1975.
Worked 2 Metres only until 1985 when redundancy and other interests forced a period of inactivity.
Revised license conditions and the ability to purchase a new rig enabled me to return to the hobby in 2010 and work on HF.
Now work almost exclusively digital modes on all bands 80 - 10 metres (except 60).

QSL:
100% at all times via eQSL (AG) automatically at end of qso. Also via Bureau or direct as required. If you send me a card direct you may if you wish enclose a current IRC or $2 in "greenstamps", that is at your discretion.

Rig: Yaesu FT-817ND, 5 Watts max. AOR AR-2002 for general V/UHF receiving.

Also have a Yaesu FT-221, an AOR AR-240A and a Trio TR-2200G (all long out of use).

Antennae: Miracle Whip, Wonder Wand, Watson (Sandpiper, Moonraker) ATX Mk II. All indoors.
In other words, whichever one is most convenient at the time :-)

Computer: Self-built AMD FX-9590 8-core 4.7GHz, 16Gb Ram, 6Tb (2x3Tb) HDD, NVidia GTX980, Win10 Pro 64-bit.

Interface: Yaesu SCU-17 USB Interface.

Software (Subject to regular updates) : Ham Radio Deluxe V6.3.0.450, MMSSTV v1.13a, WSPR v2.0, ROS v7.2.7.
