Biography

Our was founded in 1965. Actually (2016)we have 98 members, more than 56! are between 12 and 21 years old.

Metzingen is situated near by Tübingen,well known for his universities or south of Stuttgart in southern germany.

Our activities:

To us, ham radio means understanding among nations by profoundly communicating with all sorts of demographic groups and various cultures.

Our goal is to have fun and to learn. We also want to reduce prejudices by encouraging an open dialogue amongst the members of our ham radio club thus fostering not only the intercultural and academic exchange but also the cross-cultural understanding and scientific and technical learning. (This goal is also pursued by the UNESCO.)

It should be added, that there are plenty more local and regional activities as for example Youngster Field Days, school vacation events, performing handicraft work as well as youth groups within the local ham radio club or as projects in schools.
