Biography

Hi

started ham radio in 2011 when i took my foundation test on 21/09/2011 and got my M6MRL call sign.

Then 26/11/2011 i took my intermediate test failed that but not being put off i went for it again and past 17/12/2011

and now have the call sign 2E0PKY .

The radio's i have are a Yaesu FT-101 ZD a grate radio.

Also have a Kenwood TM-G 707 2&70 which i use on the my local 70CMS repeater is GB3YL,The locator

square is JO02UL,It stands 88MTR'S above sea level & is a very fine repeater .

Also have a magnum 257 which i use on 10meters



17 JUNE 2012 UP DATE

Ok i now have sold my radio's and have new toys to play with

radio 1 is a PRESIDENT LINCOLN this is good for 27 to 30 MHz i use this radio in the car and talk to my friends

on 27 MHz and do a lot off 10 mtr on it to when the skip is right

i still have my Kenwood TM-G707 which dose 2 & 70

and new radio 2 is the KenwoodTS 440S a good radio i think have done a lot on theHF bands on this radio and have been

using it to doPSK which i think is grate if you have to be quite and have a sore throat

radio 3 is a nother Kenwood TH-F7 good little radio if you only wont to do repeaters near youas it only has 5 watts but on a

good day i have got a repeater 27 miles awaybut still i think it is good for what it is
