Biography

Hi and thanks for stopping by.

I switched on to amateur radio fully in 2011 shortly after which I joined a local amateur radio club (Hastings Electronics and Radio Club) and during this time trained with Phil Parkman (G3MGQ, an RSGB trainer) who so far has seen me through my Foundation and Intermediate exams. This year (2014) I will be taking my Full exam and am more than looking forward to being able to use a 5 digit callsign again as much as be able to use more power.

I am particularly interested in antennas and am very fortunate to have those around me who are much the same, in particular John Heys (G3BDQ) who is highly knowledgeable in this area having been RSGB published in recent years and shares his knowledge regularly in HERCs Vital Spark magazine. I intend to further my knowledge in antenna design and implementation as much as possible in the coming years as a "specialisation" but who knows which way the road will take!

Currently operating on 2m/70cm and HF from my QTH in Bexhill which is just a few miles away from Hastings and the "1066 country" of Battle.

QSL Info
--------

I will *always* exchange QSL's via eQSL regardless of mode, though prefer eQSL only for data modes.

For all other modes please send QSO cards direct and I will of course return. If you receive one from me I will be delighted to find one in the post from you one day!

Wishing you good DX and 73 de Steve.
