------------------------------------------------------------------ The Story ----------------------------------------
I, like many of you, started on the 11M band , 27mHz, but was also DXCC hunter. In the years I was active there, I managed to work a lot of DXCC's. In 2006 there was rumeur that the Dutch Novice HAM's would get some frequencies in the HF bands. For me a reason to try to get that license. One day before the exam the news came that it would take some time before they could make it happen.
In April 2006 I managed to pass for my Novice license. Since then I was PD7BZ. The suffix contains My binitials, my first and family-name. On the 17th of December 2006 we were allowed to use 3 HF-bands : 10M (complete) , 20M (14.000-14.250) and 40M (7.050-7.100) with 25Watts. This in all modes we can use on those freq. The Dutch Novices already had 2M and 70cm. Also with 25W.
On the 6th of November 2013 I passed for my Full license. So after almost 80.000 Qso's with PD7BZ I changed my call-sign into PB7Z. I wanted to keep the BZ in my call-sign and also PB7 is not used much so special for prefix hunters .
From the 22th of November I am allowed to use the PB7Z call-sign, but we got the official letter a little later because it was sent via the postal mail. The 28th of November was my first day on the air with PB7Z I hope to get many of you in my logs and work you also in the contests. I like paper Qsl-cards so if possible please send me one via the bureau. I always send one back, if I didn't send yours out first hi. Also LoTW , eQSL (ag) will be confirmed. SWL cards are also very welcome.
