Hello, Dennis Nichols here. 58 year old, Happily married to my xyl (Stephanie) and 2 wonderful children (Garrett ; 11 going 26 and Riley;9 years old) (pictures to follow later).Married to wife since 2009. Been a ham since 1995. Enjoy the hobby and yes it's a hobby. I'm really not a contestor. Family comes first then my Fire Fighting Family. Been a Volunteer Fire Fighter for over 25 years . Got interested in ham radio while in the service (United States Navy, Boatswain Mate, 1987 to 1990) first active duty then reserves. Currently employed by Pennsylvania DCNR as a semi skilled Laborer at Worlds End State Park. Been there 41/2 years so far and love the job. I'm also a Pennsylvania Hunter Education Instructor as well.

When I got my license first I got involved in 2m, 440 and 6m. Then came packet and APRS, I'm also have a GRMS license (wqjl698). Now I'm into 10m ssb, digital and 2m and some 440 and 6. Equipment

I operate two rigs. An Icom 718 (in shack) and a Icom 7000 . My antenna is a Hy-Gain AV-640 Vertical 35 feet in air. Mobile Radio is a Radio Shack 10 meter with an Comet multi band antenna. (currently not installed). Brought my APRS Portable (Kenwood TH-D7A) back to life.
