Biography

Hello,

My name is Alex Appel, and I live in Key West, Florida. I have lived here since 2001, and after a while of seeing a lot of hams having fun, I decided to join the band wagon (no pun intended). I called up a good friend of mine Brian Wruble (W3BW) to help mentor me to get my license. Within five months I passed my first test, I am now also SkyWarned Trained as of July 2014. I also help out on the USCGC Ingham (WHEC-35) if you happen to hear me using their station, I will probably be with Bill Verge (KK4INP) and his club down on the Coast Gaurd Ship. We participate in some contests (not many for me personally I don't really like to contest), and some events such as Museum Ship Weekend. Thanks for stopping by!

*I do not send QSL cards due to the high amount of requests, however I do accept and keep QSL cards. If you have EQSL please send a virtual QSL and I will be more than happy to respond.

Btw my logbook is listed on www.eqsl.cc/
