Biography

My dear radio amateurs and radio listeners. Thank you for visiting my humble web space.
I must tell you that for me, the radio, more than a hobby, becomes a passion.

My passion for her began as a child when my father, a professional electrician, brought me
home appliances damaged and dusty valves that were forgotten in the workshop of repairs of
your electricity company due to the curiosity I had to know the interior of those devices
that made the waves that entered, become music and words.
It made me curious to think that all those capacitors, resistors, transformers and valves
could unmask the information in the air and listen to music and news through its speakers.

Attracted by this curiosity, I started reading books on Electronics and Radiotechnics that
existed in the library of my city and thanks to them I could repair some of the radios that
my father recovered for me and also be able to build some very simple devices that made my
curiosity for this world of waves was increasing every day.
During the visit on Sundays to a country house that my uncles had in a well-known place
from Jaén-city, I used to visit alone one of the local radio installations installed there
-which still lingers- and sit under his antenna. I imagined how the words and the music
came out in the form of mysterious and invisible waves scattered to save mountains and get
to be heard on the radio devices.

In the long, cold winter nights I used to hear the Short Wave of the radio receiver that
my paternal grandparents had in their home when we went to take care of them Due to their
old age, you hear that they were accentuating in me the desire to know better this exciting
world of the waves and how they were produced and traveled through the ether.
I was increasingly passionate about Kirchoff's laws, the resonance, the wavelength, the
propagation, the demodulation. All his theory to be able to put them into practice as soon
as possible.

Due to my limited economic resources, the little money available-thanks to my savings-
was aimed at buying electronic components to repair equipment and manufacture new
apparatuses that were very elementary.

I could not have a Civic Band team - as some of my friends had neighborhood- for not having
enough savings, with what I was content to look through from the windows of the radio stores,
imagining myself to be the operator that manipulated them and spoke before his microphones.

For work reasons I had to move out of my hometown and I was able to continue with the
construction of elementary radio equipment, thanks to the salary that my new job.
Over the years, the dedication to this task diminished and I dedicated myself to other
activities, but the passion for this exciting world never disappeared.

Desiring once and for all to have my own radio station and a license, 11/30/2016 I passed
the radio amateur test and on 02/12/2016 I got my current call: EA7KAU.

On 18/02/2017 I made my first contact with EA8AB Víctor, who sponsored me in this world.
Thank you very much Victor for having made my dream come true with you !!!!

My first radio equipment that I purchased was a Yaesu FT 857D transceiver and an antenna
Vertical Outback 2000 in January 2017.
Later and in the month of July of that same year, I acquired an Icom IC7000 transceiver
second hand, by Juan EA7AJ (SK) before his death.

Although I am passionate about new technologies and the internet, I prefer to continue using
the recnology of the "micro", the QRM and the QSB. My new goal: the telegraphy.

A hug to everyone !!!
