| Biography About me:
My name is Maxim. I was born and live in the Irkutsk city, located near one of the most beautiful places on our planet - Lake Baikal.
I started my amateur radio activities as a listener in 1982, and have been making regular listening of the air ever since. I received my first callsign in 1984. My passion for radio is directly related to my profession, since I graduated from the Faculty of Physics of the ISU in the areas of radiophysics and electronics. For a long time I worked as a lecturer. I taught students how to solder electronic circuits and understand the principles of their work. What attracts me most of all in amateur radio activity is the opportunity to develop and test in practice my handmade receivers and transceivers, as well as to explore the features of radio wave propagation. In this regard, I am more interested in the work with QRP power, as it opens up more opportunities for assembling and testing my handmade devices and antennas.
Equipment 1) A lot of homebrew receivers and transmitters.
2) Lab599 Discovery TX-500 as base transceiver.
