Biography

Thanks for the contact and taking a look this page.

I started in the Citizens band in the late '70s. I got my first license in 1981. I then left radio for many years due to my work, travels, and other commitments. Now located in a coastal town in southern Spain and with more time available I enjoy radio and other hobbies.

I still have some of my old equipment. I am currently using a Hermes Lite2 operating remotely. The antenna is usually a delta loop that allows me to use multi-band in HF. I also frequent the QO-100 satellite. I'm very attracted to digital communications, whether it's data or voice, and experimenting with new protocols.

Electronics and computers also capture my attention, among my hobbies are satellites and meteorology. I have several raspberry pi scattered around different sites that provide me with weather satellite reception, weather station WEEWX, WSPR, ADSB, AIS, openwebRX, and similar services.
